The Libratex Series of Anionic Surfactants

The Libratex Series of anionic surfactants consists of either dodecylbenzene sulphonic acid and the neutralised versions or ether sulphates and dioctyl sulphosuccinates. They are compatible with other anionic and non-ionic surfactants and can be used as raw materials in the manufacture of a variety of detergent products. The Libratex Series covers a wide range of solubilities from solvent soluble to highly water soluble.

The Libratex Series can be selected to perform surfactant tasks including:

DETERGENCY
EMULSIFICATION
FOAMING
DISPERSION
WETTING
SOLUBILISATION

As the Series are neutralised with various alkalies to form their salts, their activities can be varied from 10% to 95% active. The salts exhibit various properties depending on their application. The sodium salts have excellent detergency for use in cleaning formulations, while the ammonium and amine salts are excellent emulsifiers in water soluble systems.

The Libratex Series of anionic surfactants can be used in the following applications:

GENERAL DETERGENTS
Used as the main wetting and foaming agent

LATEX EMULSIONS
Used as the emulsifying agent

ENGINE DEGREASING AND HAND CLEANERS
Used as the emulsifier for oils in combination with solvents

TEXTILE WETTING AGENTS
Used for general wetting and scouring
